3 Productivity Hacks to Keep You Moving

Productivity and efficiency are popular topics lately, as everyone moved from working in the office with their peers to working from home with all kinds of distractions. And some days, no matter how hard we try, it always feels like there’s just never enough time.

If you’re looking to improve your productivity, these 3 tips can help:

Outsource

Sometimes it’s hard to let go, but it’s something we need to learn how to do. As a business owner, you shouldn’t be burdened with monotonous tasks and learning new software. Many smart business owners are starting to accept their limitations and seek out an expert to take over these tasks. What can take you an hour to do can take an expert half that time easily. I’m sure you can find better use of your time right?

Think about all the other business owners you know and ask for referrals, who do they know that’s an expert where you need help? Set up a time to talk with your potential prospects and see if they are a good fit for your business and you. And remember, just because they are online service providers doesn’t mean you should lower your standards. You should always expect top-notch service. Stop the Bad Habits

Do you sometimes do things a certain way because that’s the way you’ve always done them, even though there may be a better way? This is the time to delegate where it’s needed, find new software or plan out new programs and updates. You might find by changing things up it brings new excitement to your business for you.

Create a Real Actionable Plan

I like to use a project management system for my team so we can all see what’s being worked on and the goals we are working towards. Though I’ll admit, I’m still a pen and paper girl myself. There’s just something about being able to cross a task off that list that I do enjoy.

When my team and I start a new project, I like to sit down and plan it out from start to finish along with who is doing what and give each task a specific due date. It keeps us organized and on track. If there’s ever a delay, we are careful to communicate it to the team so dates or plans can be adjusted accordingly. For me, seeing the daily to-do list or schedule helps keep me on track to meet my deadlines as well as deadlines for my clients. It keeps me focused and increases my productivity.

Investing in your business can reduce your overall stress and increase your productivity, and make your business run more efficiently. If you’re ready to move forward, or just wondering how, schedule a call with me here to see how I can help.
